About Terri

For as long as I can remember, I have made art for the pure joy of it. After studying Clothing and Textile Design at Virginia Tech I graduated and came to California. I studied painting and design at The California College of Arts and Crafts. I have dabbled in drawing, painting, jewelry design, doll making and photography. Most recently, my creative expression has been focused on writing.

For over 19 years my career has been practicing as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in art therapy.

I have lived my life always diving deeper into my own psyche. I’ve followed my heart to continuously uplift my state of being. It seems this life path was meant to awaken my soul, and to give to others my love and honesty.

For me the deaths of my father and brother broke open my heart and showed me new truths far beyond my own imagination.

My book was an act of passion with full intent to be transparent about my most unusual experiences.

I now see there is no secret to awaken one’s soul. The simple act of accepting my life’s challenges, choosing faith, and being grateful for the lessons of my life, has given me peace.

“We have to continue to learn. We have to be open and we have to be ready to release our knowledge in order to come to a higher understanding of reality.”
